Henry County Animal Control received a call Aug. 6 that a raccoon had made contact with an outdoor cat and the raccoon was killed. Test results on the remains of the raccoon came back positive, making this the seventh confirmed rabies virus case in the county this year. A 45-day rabies alert has been issued for a half-mile area surrounding the 300 block of Oak Hill Terrace in Stockbridge. Information: www.hcacc.org.
