Acworth police will soon be wearing body cameras due to a unanimous vote of the Acworth Board of Aldermen at its regular meeting Thursday.

WatchGuard Video will supply the in-car and body-worn camera systems for $250,000.

The Georgia Municipal Association lease/purchase program for three years will be used.

Also, the aldermen agreed to pay $25,000 to Safeware to buy 50 AVON C50 First Responder kits.
