The Georgia Board of Regents announced Thursday two sets of teams that will help with the search for the next president of Kennesaw State University.

The current president, Sam Olens, announced in December he will resign on Feb. 15. Some community groups and KSU faculty members wanted Olens to resign after several campus controversies, particularly his administration's unwillingness to follow University System of Georgia recommendations regarding how to handle student protests during the national anthem at football games.

Olens, the former Georgia Attorney General, took office in November 2016 without such a search. He was the only candidate for the job.
