Recently sworn-in board member Randy Scamihorn was elected to serve as Cobb’s school board chair Wednesday.

Scamihorn, a republican ran unopposed to replace Lynnda Eagle as the representative to represent Post 1, the north Cobb area.

Brad Wheeler, who was also sworn in Wednesday, was elected to serve as the board’s vice chair. Wheeler, a republican, beat democratic incumbent Alison Bartlett to represent Post 7, the south and west Cobb areas.
