Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing Thursday morning in unincorporated Norcross.
Joseph Dillinger, 36, was charged with aggravated assault in the incident, which left his roommate, a man in his mid-30s, hospitalized in critical condition, Gwinnett police spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera said. The victim’s name was not immediately released.
Officers were called to a house in the 6400 block of Sage Street just after 7 a.m. They found Dillinger’s roommate suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was standing in the driveway near a car that was covered in blood, Pihera said.
The roommate told officers that Dillinger had stabbed him inside the home. Police said it is unclear what led to the stabbing.
Dillinger, who Pihera said suffered superficial injuries, was found sitting near the front porch. Like his roommate, Dillinger was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center-Lawrenceville for treatment. He was then transported to the Gwinnett County Jail.
