A man remained in jail without bond Tuesday after allegedly kicking a pregnant woman during a domestic disturbance, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

Timothy Michael Horne, 36, was arrested June 7 and charged with battery against a female who is pregnant, along with battery for allegedly hitting the woman’s mother. He was also charged with two counts of obstruction after deputies said he resisted arrest and obstructing a 911 call.

The mother told deputies a fight began when her daughter got upset with Horne for drinking alcohol. She said she saw Horne kick her daughter then kneel over her and begin to choke her.
