A Cobb County man pleaded guilty to 58 counts of sexual misconduct charges, including statutory rape, child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes, officials said.
Timothy Joey Carroll, 59, admitted to sexually abusing a girl from 2009 to 2014, according to a release from the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office. The girl was 8 when the abuse began.
Carroll forced the girl into sex acts at his home in Marietta and at a Smyrna motel. He is also wanted in Clayton and Henry counties for similar charges involving the same victim.
Assistant District Attorney Susan Treadaway said Carroll showed the girl pornography, dressed her in lingerie and used sex toys on her.
“The defendant used the victim as his own personal sex object for a period spanning many years,” she said. “It was clear from his demeanor in court on Tuesday that this is an individual who has no remorse for his abuse of this little girl.”
Carroll was sentenced to serve 30 years of a 50-year sentence in prison.
