As police investigated, two more shooting victims were discovered nearby and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Byron Davis was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died during surgery, Turner said.
Authorities released a surveillance photo of a man standing outside a white sedan. He is considered a person of interest in Byron’s death and investigators hope to question him, authorities said.
The second victim remains in critical condition, Turner said.

Investigators are still working to determine if all three shootings are connected.
Another man’s body was discovered in a BMW nearby less than 1,000 feet from from the shooting scenes, Channel 2 reported. Police determined that man shot and killed himself, but don’t believe he was involved in the other shootings, Turner said.
“We are receiving a lot of leads and calls, and we encourage the public to continue to contact us and provide more insight as we comb through a lot of evidence to piece together these incidents,” he said.
Fairburn police and South Fulton police are assisting with the investigation.
Anyone with information on the cases is asked to contact Union City police at 770-515-7835.
