The driver of a parked car was issued a citation and the car towed after it was struck by the Atlanta Streetcar at the intersection of Auburn Avenue and Hilliard Street in midafternoon Saturday.

The Streetcar was travelling west on Auburn Ave NE and sideswiped a vehicle that was parked on the side of the street in front of 364 Auburn Ave., according to Atlanta police.

The parked vehicle was facing the wrong way and was parked outside of the parking lines. The Streetcar struck the parked vehicle on the right side, police said.

There were 16 passengers on the streetcar, none of whom complained of injuries from the collision. One passenger suffered a seizure, unrelated to the collision, and was transported to Grady hospital, police said.
