A Twitter video went viral Tuesday evening, showing a group of anti-mask protesters marching through a Florida Target.
The small group wore MAGA hats and T-shirts while singing “We’re Not Gonna Take It” by the rock group Twisted Sister.
Target has required masks in its retail stores since July and provides them to customers for free. This was in response to an increase in coronavirus cases in the United States.
There have been incidents of anti-mask demonstrations and rallies in the country. One woman destroyed a Target mask display in July.
The Florida Health Department recently reported 668,846 coronavirus cases and 12,787 deaths since the pandemic started.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has not issued a mandatory mask mandate despite calls from some state officials to do so.
Many on social media have called for the protesters to be arrested for trespassing and endangering the public.
Dee Snider, the lead singer of Twisted Sister, denounced the protesters, saying they did not have permission or blessing to use his song for their “moronic cause."
Others have compared them to the Black Lives Matter protesters, noting they were not being violent or damaging property.
Target has not released a statement about the incident, which has concerned some Twitter users who think there needs to be action against the group.
However, one Twitter user accused Target of not requiring masks, which is false. Target’s customer service account responded that “their mask policy hasn’t changed.”
