In conjunction with Project TS170 Interstate North Parkway Sidepath, Sandy Springs completed design of an expansion of its traffic signal interconnected fiber system. To complete the project, the city is awarding a $250,113 contract to GTG Traffic Signals to construct the Interstate North Parkway Fiber Project.

The proposed fiber installation will connect the traffic signal at Interstate North Parkway and River Edge Parkway and add additional CCTV coverage on Interstate North Parkway and Powers Ferry Road.

This contract includes installation of approximately 9,900 linear feet of fiber, installation of pull boxes, CCTV, and field switches, and as-built details of fiber installation.

GTG Traffic Signals was the lowest of four bidders for the work.
