With the help of consulting firm KCI and after feedback from the community, Johns Creek is considering improvements to three intersections. All three projects are in early stages of development.
Providence Road at Bethany Road is being considered for a single-lane roundabout to address safety and congestion issues.
Hopewell Road at Redd Road is under consideration for a traffic light to address congestion and 32 automobile crashes in the past five years. City staff is recommending holding off on any further designs and re-evaluating this intersection later after receiving notable public opposition to a traffic light.
Turn lanes and raised median islands are proposed for Freemanville Road at Redd Road to improve traffic flow and slow motorists through the area. The city has recommended a phased approach, starting with the design of a right turn lane on Redd Road only.
