At its May 4 regular meeting, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved an intergovernmental agreement with the city of Nelson for the Sunset Park improvement project, according to a press release.

The county will manage the project including advertising for bids, reviewing bids, recommending the award of a bid and contract management.

The city will pay for the design, right of way, utilities, and any permitting and construction costs associated.
