A woman who was struck by lightning while 9 months pregnant is recovering after doctors performed an emergency delivery.

Meghan Davidson of Fort Myers, Florida, was rushed to a hospital on Tuesday after being struck by a bolt of lightning in the head as she was walking with her mother, according to WBBH. She was just seven days away from her due date.

Doctors at Lee Memorial Hospital delivered the baby. WINK reports the baby, named Owen, was taken to Golisano Children's Hospital, and his condition is not known. Davidson, who was listed in critical condition on Friday, was still in intensive care Sunday, but was showing signs of improvement, WBBH reported.
