Valentine’s day. A corporate holiday that brings a lot of joy to some, anxiety to others or simply go overlooked by the rest.  If you’re single, you’re not alone! Well, you are, but we got your back.

Here’s a list of things you can do today, while you’re committed friends are out of the loop. If you keep an eye open, you might even find next year’s valentines date.

Take your pet to the parks, (unless he/she, like mine, already has a date lined up)

No date? no problem. Go outdoors and make your pet happy. They love you more anyway. Plus, I’m sure a lot of singles will be hitting the parks today so let your dog lose and let it fetch you your next Valentine’s date.

It’s Taco Tuesday somewhere!

Make out with your food, it never disappoints. It could be sloppy, wet, spicy and even garlicky —  it doesn’t matter. When it’s a taco you’re making out with, the messier the better. Palm Beach county has many Mexican restaurant options to get your Valentine’s day kiss.

Before you ignore this option completely, listen up brother/sister. We all have an idea of the person we’d like to date. We’re so structured on how we’d like to meet a significant other or how they should act, look, sound, talk, etc, etc. For the last month we’ve interviewed local couples about their love stories and you’d be surprised of their first encounters and how “unusual” they were. Sometimes you need to take risks.

Go to the Movies

Put your arm around a large bag of pop corn and watch a brand new movie. The top three films right now could please any mood. Feeling sad? laugh your butt off with The Lego Batman movie. Think you need to spice up your sex life? get some tips from Mr. Grey himself with Fifty Shades Darker. Want your mind out of Valentine's day? follow the intriguing plot with John Wick: Chapter 2.
