Star 94's latest night jock is Donny Michaels.

He begins the week of Nov. 10 and will be on air from 7 p.m. to midnight. He was last a morning host on a pop station WQSH-FM (Q103) in Albany, N.Y.

Michaels replaces Ali Mac, who left for Vero Beach, Fla. last month.

His bio on Q103 is as follows:

Star plays what is dubbed "Hot AC" in radio parlance pop for older listeners with a focus on music from the 1990s to today. It has had trouble keeping night jocks, which tend to be the least stable spot anyway given that it's a night job. This is the station's sixth night jock over the past decade: Nudge (2004-2008), Darik Kristofer (2008-2011), former Dave FM jock Tim Orff (2011-2013), Sari Rose (2013) and Ali Mac (2014).

Many local stations have gone to syndicated or voice-tracked jocks at night anyway so you have to give props to recent Georgia Hall of Fame inductee and Star GM Rick Mack and the folks at Star for holding the line and keeping things local.

Star's ratings have been consistent this year but behind the three other pop stations. In the latest Nielsen Audio ratings, the station ranked 13th overall, 12th among 18 to 34 year olds and 25 to 54 year olds.
