It's hard to believe that Ronald Reagan almost didn't survive his first term thanks to Jodie Foster-obsessed John Hinckley Jr. Bill O'Reilly's book "Killing Reagan" has been adapted into a film that was shot in Atlanta earlier this year. It debuts on NGC on Sunday at 8 p.m. featuring Tim Matheson as Reagan and Cynthia Nixon as his devoted wife Nancy.
The CW brings back its longest-running show "Supernatural" for an impressive 12th season Thursday while "Supergirl" arrives Monday on the network from CBS.
ABC's "Fresh Off the Boat" earns a trip to Taiwan Tuesday while Spike TV brings back "Lip Sync Battle" for a third season with an Oscar-winning actor on stage.

MONDAY
"The Big Bang Theory" 8 p.m. CBS — Sheldon and Amy decide to move in together when her apartment floods.
"Dancing With the Stars" 8 p.m. ABC — Two musicians who hit it big in the 1990s with nicknames got cut last week: Vanilla Ice and Babyface.
"Gotham" 8 p.m. Fox — Penguin narrows in on the mayoral nomination.
"Supergirl" 8 p.m. the CW (second season debut) — This show moves over from CBS.
"The Voice" 8 p.m. NBC — The battle round kicks off. Here, team members face off in dueling duets. The advisers are Joan Jett, Sammy Hagar, Bette Midler and Charlie Puth.
"2 Broke Girls" 9 p.m. CBS (sixth season debut) — Max and Caroline put the finishing touches on their newly converted Dessert Bar.
"Too Close to Home" 9 p.m. TLC (first season finale) — J.B. catches up with Shelby.
"Timeless" 10 p.m. NBC — Terrorist Garcia Flynn connects with notorious assassin John Wilkes Booth.
"Conviction" 10:01 p.m. ABC — Wallace's career-making case is reexamined by CIU team, but there are unforeseen complexities in this rape and robbery case.
"Scorpion" 10 p.m. CBS (time slot debut) — Walter's accidentally launched into space, where he hallucinates about Paige as his oxygen runs low.
TUESDAY
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" 8 p.m. Fox — A crossover event that concludes on "New Girl" begins with Jake enlisting Jess' help with a case during her visit to New York.
"The Middle" 8 p.m. ABC (eigth season debut) — Frankie and Mike meet Axl's new girlfriend, who has a quirky personality trait.
"NCIS" 8 p.m. CBS — Gibbs, Quinn and Palmer travel out to sea and board a destroyer after the body of a navy lieutenant is discovered during a tiger cruise.
"The Voice" 8 p.m. NBC — The battle rounds continue.
"New Girl" 8:31 p.m. Fox — In a crossover episode with "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," Jess and friends visit New York, where she meets that series' Det. Jake Peralta, helps out on a case and has an interesting encounter with two from the 99th Precinct.
"American Housewife" 8:30 p.m. ABC (new series) — An average wife and mother raises her flawed family in a town of seemingly perfect people.
"Bull" 9 p.m. CBS — The murder of a star athlete brings about jury bias when the accused is a woman who publicly claimed he assaulted her.
"Fresh Off the Boat" 9 p.m. ABC (third season debut) — Louis and family travel to Taiwan in an effort to make things right with Gene; and Louis doubting the life he's built for himself in Orlando after seeing how well Gene lives
"This is Us" 9 p.m. NBC (new time slot) — Rebecca and Jack take their new babies home from the hospital and struggle to cope with the loss of a child
"Halt and Catch Fire" 9 p.m. AMC (special time) — Donna envisions a new future for the Internet and attempts to bring everyone together at Comdex. Meanwhile, Gordon takes on a strong-willed Joanie.
"Atlanta " 10 p.m. FX — Montague makes an appearance.

"Blindspot" 8 p.m. NBC — A politician is nearly killed by an assassin for the Irish mob during a rally, so the team join forces with U.S. Marshal Allie Knight to hunt down a mob leader.
"The Goldbergs" 8 p.m. ABC — Murray and Pop-Pop wage a war of words after the Goldbergs get their first-ever answering machine.
"Lethal Weapon" 8 p.m. Fox — A string of burglaries hits close to home when one occurs in Murtaugh's neighborhood and another ends in a casualty.
"Survivor" 8 p.m. CBS — The first reward challenge of the season takes place. Meanwhile, two castaways are out for revenge after being blindsided by their allies.
"Criminal Minds" 9 p.m. CBS — Emily Prentiss returns to the BAU team when they are called to investigate the disappearance of three women.

"Last Man Standing" 8 p.m. ABC — Boyd turns 10 and Mike wants to buy him a shotgun and take him hunting as part of a family tradition.
"MacGyver" 8 p.m. CBS — The guys try to shut down a warhead in Moscow and need help from a Russian bomb programmer and his estranged handler, but a problem arises when the computer needed to disable the warhead malfunctions.
