Ali Mac, the morning traffic reporter at pop station Star 94 for five years, has been officially named the night jock there.

Star 94's night slot has been taken up in recent years by dudes: Nudge (2004-2008. Remember "Hot mom check in... what, what?"), Darik Kristofer (2008-2011) and Tim Orff (2011-2013). Then for a brief moment, Sari Rose (formerly of Kicks 101.5) took the gig but left after only a few months.

Ali Mac has been working nights for a few months now, but the station never made an official announcement and hasn't yet updated its website to reflect her arrival.

Her predecessor Orff posted a gracious Facebook post about her a couple days ago:

Although I should have posted this weeks ago, I wanted to congratulate Ali Mac for becoming Star94's latest night jock. That girl has worked hard... doing traffic extraordinarily well and made numerous sacrifices for the station during weekends, holidays and other big moments in her and her family's life. If no one else can give her the recognition or even a "thank you" for all she's done, allow me and the rest of radio nation to do so. Keep it going, kid.

Her replacement in mornings covering traffic for the Cindy and Jimmy show is Checka Cee. Here's Checka's Twitter photo, which evokes a bit of Carly Rae Jepsen. She's also in the running for Creative Loafing's annual "Lust List" of single folks in town. You can vote for her here.

Here's a shot of Jepsen, just for kicks. The similar hairstyles certainly enhances the similarity:
