New V-103 morning host and R&B singer Jade Novah has launched a new PETA-endorsed vegan campaign: "Live in Color—Go Vegan for Life."

She said, in a promo video, that she and her Atlanta husband Devin Johnson went vegan at the same time and their son has joined them. Her husband lost 75 pounds under the new diet and she said she's in much better shape now as well.

"I am super-vegan, y'all," Novah said. In the video, she samples fishless filet tacos and crabless crab cakes. “All these things taste so good, and it's just so unnecessary to put all this extra animal product in it. Y’all need to give it up!"

She said it’s a challenge to be vegan given the history of meat in soul food. When she visits her mom, even the vegetables have meat in them, she noted.

“There is so much corruption” in the animal industry, she said. “Once you go vegan, it just gives you this mental clarity, this time you were wasting - and money too... I save so much coin now that I’m vegan!””

Other musicians who have worked with PETA include Atlanta producer Jermaine Dupri, Kat GrahamRZAMasta Killa, Paul McCartneyEveKesha, and Pink.
