The House and Senate convene at 10 a.m. The House calendar has five bills, including H.B.162, which allows insurance companies to do self-audits and to keep those private.

H.B.119 would allow medical professionals to be told if a patient has AIDS -- if the patient is legally determined to be mentally ill.

The Senate will consider two bills: S.B. 58 , which would provide for leadership and service recognition of students applying to Georgia colleges; and S.B. 79, which would allow for higher compensation payments to victims of crimes for funeral expenses.

The big news of the day is likely to come out of the House Transportation Committee, which will again take up H.B. 170, the transportation funding bill. A committee vote is possible.

Chairman Jay Roberts, R-Ocilla, has said tweaks to the complicated funding proposal are coming.

Also Wednesday, the Senate Regulated Industries Committee will take up S.B. 63, which would allow craft beer makers to sell directly to the public.
