An afternoon hearing could produce the big news on the last of a four-day week for the General Assembly. A subcommittee of House Judiciary will hear the so-called Pastor Protection Act, the bill initially proposed by Speaker David Ralston. It would write into state law the freedom of religious protections that some believe pastors already have under the First Amendment -- they wouldn't be required to marry same-sex couples. It's considered the least controversial of several religious liberty bills that have been proposed.

Both chambers go in at 10 a.m. and have a handful of bills to consider. None likely to spark much debate.

What is likely generate some chatter is a visit by renowned prosperity preacher Creflo Dollar. The Reverend Dollar told his 521,000 Twitter followers on Wednesday that he will be at the Gold Dome today. The man whom at least one Democratic senator wants to name a highway after also included a photo in his tweet.

It featured Dollar and his wife, Taffi, a co-pastor of World Changers Church International, and says they jointly will be chaplain of the day. We have reason to believe Creflo Dollar will lead the morning devotional in the House.
