Number of working days left until the end of the 2015 session: 9
The House and Senate will start at 10 a.m.. Both chambers have extremely light agendas. The House will take up two resolutions. The Senate calendar has two minor bills, although Senate Rules Chairman Jeff Mullis, R- Chickamauga, promises that the chamber's workload will increase in coming days.
Whatever excitement there is to be had in the morning will be provided by Jeb Bush, who will make his first public splash at the Gold Dome as a presumed presidential candidate. He’s scheduled to pay a visit to the governor at 10, then drop by the Senate and House.
Also paying the Capitol a visit will be supporters of medical marijuana legislation. They've planned an 11 a.m. event in the rotunda. A hearing on the House version, HB 1 , will take place at 1 in the Senate Health and Human Services committee.
The House is likely to wrap up quickly so House Speaker David Ralston, R- Blue Ridge, can make the Atlanta Press Club's Newsmaker Luncheon, where he will talk about the session and, we hope, make news of some sort.
