As of this post, Republican Ron Estes, the state treasurer, seems to be the apparent winner of the Fourth District congressional race in Kansas, with 51 percent of the vote as of 10:30 p.m. (Eastern). To wit, from the Kansas secretary of state website:
Even so, the close margin is likely to feed Democratic hopes in Georgia, where Democrat Jon Ossoff is attempting an April 18 grab of the Sixth District seat vacated by U.S. Rep. Tom Price, who is now secretary of Health and Human Services. Donald Trump took the Kansas district by 60 percent in November. The Kansas City Star is likely to have updated this in the morning:
The race also features Libertarian Chris Rockhold.
Pompeo, a Republican who won by 31 percentage points in November, gave up his seat in the 4th Congressional District in January to serve as Trump's director of the CIA.
