Hillary Clinton's last-minute switch from a rally at Georgia State University's bustling student center to a smaller, more tightly controlled venue at Atlanta's City Hall has upset student leaders who couldn't make the event.

SGA Vice President of Public Relations Anthony Nguyen said he feels let down by the scheduling snafu.

"It's a disappointment that the Hillary campaign didn't inform us in time that we were to relocate," he said. "Students were really excited to hear what she had to say. But I guess city hall is just more secure, easier to control the crowd."

The Democrat's campaign said last-minute changes were par for the course, but the move also suggested the Clinton camp was worried about damaging interruptions to the event on the eve of the South Carolina primary.

Clinton's last public visit to Georgia was hijacked by Black Lives Matter demonstrators who interrupted her speech at Clark Atlanta University for about 10 minutes. And a protester in Charleston made headlines this week by questioning a remark she made in a 1996 speech.

It also meant she would campaign on Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed’s home turf. The mayor is one of Clinton’s fiercest advocates in Georgia, and he’s repeatedly promised that Sanders “was not going to be the nominee.”
