Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty has unveiled a new 15-song mixtape called "Summer Songs 2."

The album from the red-hot-haired upstart is streaming exclusively on Apple Music .

It’s been a fruitful few months for the 18-year-old, who will launch his first headlining tour Aug. 6 in Vancouver, B.C., and play Atlanta’s Center Stage on Aug. 23, his birthday.

Yachty – born Miles Parks McCollum – released the mixtape “Lil Boat” in March, which spawned the viral hit, “1 Night.”

He's received kudos from The New York Times (critic Jon Caramanica referred to Yachty as "the ascendant microstar of Atlanta's decentered hip-hop scene") and XXL magazine, which named the rapper as one of its 2016 "Freshmen Class."

We’ll have a profile of Lil Yachty on Aug. 16 on AJC.com and in print Aug. 18 as part of our Ages of Atlanta series.

Take a look at his new film, "Keep Sailing," directed by Petra Collins and producer by The FADER.
