Georgia Tech's schedule, just released, won't be as tough next season . There's no Florida State, for one thing. (Although FSU was the only team Tech beat after Sept. 12 last year.) There's no Notre Dame, although there is Irish involved -- Tech opens against Boston College in Dublin.
Clemson plays here, not there, and on a Thursday night. There's no trip to Miami, where Tech hasn't won under Paul Johnson. There are only four true road games, and one of those is in Athens. Counting Georgia, Tech will play three games against in-state opponents, Mercer and Georgia Southern being the other two.
Once past the trip to the Auld Sod -- that's Irish for Ireland -- Tech leaves Atlanta only once before November. If you're looking for a bounce-back schedule, this fits the bill. Except for one thing:
I don't think Tech will be good enough to bounce very high. I'd say the Jackets will do well to go 7-5. But that's just me, and I picked them to go 9-3 in 2015.
