As part of the new Obama budget, the White House is proposing to end and trim 126 different federal programs, what the Obama Administration calls "Terminations, Reductions and Savings."

According to numbers released by the Office of Management and Budget, 126 programs would come under this description, saving "more than $23 billion in 2011 alone."

Of course, the budget deficit is expected to be well over $1 trillion.

"The proposals include 78 discretionary terminations and reductions that would save $10 billion in 2011, and 33 mandatory terminations and reductions that would save $240 billion over 10 years," the President's budget says.
