The final fiscal cliff deal was 157 pages, with a lot more than just higher income tax rates for those making over $400,000 a year for an individual and $450,000 for a couple, as it also changed the tax rate for federal inheritance taxes, tweaked the treatment of investment income for high wage earners, repealed part of the Obama health law, extended the Farm Bill through the end of September 2013, and even blocked a pay raise for members of Congress.

Other notable details include Congress making the patch for the Alternative Minimum Tax permanent - and indexing it to inflation - and lawmakers also voted to extend the life of a group of business and personal tax breaks known as the "tax extenders," all but guaranteeing more year-end tax bills like this one in the future.

The piece of the Obama health law that was repealed is known as the CLASS Act, a long term care initiative that critics said was a ticking budget time bomb.  The House had voted to repeal that part of the law, but the Senate had already refused to go along with that, until this deal.

Here is the basic table of contents of the fiscal cliff legislation for you to peruse - if you want to download the actual legislative language, I have posted it at this link as well.
