Westlake freshman Rashaad Pollard led the Lions to the Region 3AAAAAA championship with wins in the 100 (10.66) and 200 (21.51) meters while also anchoring the Lions 400-meter relay team to a win in a time of 41.56…

Kell junior Logan Poteet won the 1,600 and 3,200 meters at the Region  7AAAAA Championships at Cambridge, in times of 4:22.07 and 9:16.77, respectively…

Senior Alex Richemond led Centennial to the Region 6AAAAAA title by winning the long jump (23-3) and 200 meters (22.11) and placing second in the 100 meters (10.98)…

Athens Christian looks primed to claim its second consecutive Class A Private School state championship (fourth consecutive overall in Class A) after winning the Area 2A Private School title, with strong efforts from junior Demetrius McWhorter, who took first in the triple jump (46-1 ¾) and high jump (6-feet), senior Joseph Ruggiers, who took first in the shot put (45- ½ ) and discus (140-4), and senior Levi Cummings, who won the 300-meter hurdles (41.34) and the pole vault (13-6).

Girls: 

Rockdale County freshman Candace Hill ran the state's fastest 200 meters this season, 23.67, at the Region 2AAAAAA Championships at Twelve Oaks Stadium in Lovejoy.  Hill also has the state's top time in the 100 meters, 11.69…

Avery Bussjager, a junior at Walton, ran the state's fastest time in the 1,600 meters, 5:07.30, at the Taco Bell Classic in Columbia, S.C…

McEachern's  400-meter relay team won the Region 4AAAAAA title in a time of 46.19, the fastest time in Georgia this season and the fourth fastest in the nation…

Miller Grove senior Tiffany Flynn led the Wolverines to the Region 6AAAAA title with a win in the 100-meter hurdles (14.30), as well as in the two events in which she is the state's best – the long jump (19-0) and triple jump (40-1)…

Senior Ariel Terrell and juniors Mia Phillips and Kayla Stinson led Westlake to the Region 3AAAAAA title over Langston Hughes, as Terrell – a Tennessee signee – won the 400 meters (56.78) and the 300-meter hurdles (43.58), Stinson won the triple jump (37-8 ½) and the 100-meter hurdles (14.71), and Phillips won the long jump with a leap of 18-11 ¾, the second best in the state this season. Terrell and Phillips were a part of the Lions' first-place 400-meter relay team (46.46), while Terrell and Stinson led the 1,600-meter relay team that also took first in a time of 3:49.35…

Langston Hughes senior Jharna Alston won the 100 and 200 meters at the Region 3AAAAAA championships in 11.91 and 24.14, respectively.
