  • There might be a reason Milton has won 10 state titles in the last 11 seasons since the GHSA began officially acknowledging lacrosse champions in 2005. Perhaps it's because no program works harder than the Lady Eagles. Even though it was spring break for them and most other schools, they spent their entire break competing in the D.C. area, playing five games in five days and winning all of them. No other team in the rankings - boys or girls - played more than two games, with some not playing at all. Jessi Masinko racked up a team-leading 19 goals during that span, which included wins over Holy Cross (Md.), Collegiate (Va.), Holy Child (Md.), Lassiter and Georgetown Visitation (D.C).
  • Chattahoochee defeated West Forsyth 22-12 on March 31, with Madison Mueller and Kelly Guthrie each scoring four goals for West Forsyth.
  • North Gwinnett and Lambert remain undefeated atop the rankings in AAAAAA, while A-AAAAAA's top-ranked Westminster picked up a 7-6 on April 7 - to Cambridge. We'll know on Thursday if the Wolves' loss was enough to drop them from the top spot, with Allatoona lurking with two wins over Florida teams the weekend. The Bucs are on a nine-game win streak.
