GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach?"Nov. 14, 1986. Lyons and Vidalia have always had a fierce rivalry. As a boy growing up in Lyons, a 'competitive hatred' was instilled from a young age regarding any game played against our cross-county rival. Coming into the 1986 game, Vidalia had won the previous seven meetings. This game took on additional significance because it was the last football game Lyons Senior High School would play due to the merger of Lyons Senior High School and Toombs Central into Toombs County High School. After a hard-fought game, Lyons prevailed 16-13. On a personal note, this was the final game I played in high school as well as my 17th birthday."
2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why?"In my 28 years of coaching, I have met many great coaches who were also great mentors of young men. Without specifically stating names (and there are several), I would want my sons to play for men that would not only teach blocking and tackling, but would also instill the age-old qualities of discipline, good sportsmanship, hard work, loyalty, character and respect for God, country, and others."
3. What is your pet peeve as a coach or favorite saying/motto?"Whatever you do, do with your whole heart."
4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed?"The specific rule change that I would like to see is perimeter blocking below the waist added back to the game. The current rules seem to have tilted the game away from the smaller, quicker players that so many high schools have in their schools."
