Former Georgia Tech associate athletic director Wayne Hogan has been named the executive director of the Florida Sports Hall of Fame. Hogan served at Tech for seven years as associate AD for external relations, leaving Tech in 2013.

The hall is located in Polk County in central Florida. Hogan recently served as the chair for the hall’s 2015 enshrinement, a two-day event that was supported by record corporate involvement. Hogan

Following his departure from Tech, Hogan returned to his native Florida and opened Mango Media, a public relations consulting company, in 2014 and will continue to manage that firm.

“The Florida Sports Hall of Fame is extremely fortunate to have someone with Wayne’s background and experience available to manage our day-to-day operation, hall of fame board president Barry Smith said in a statement.
