Already, a raft of 9/11 documentaries, news specials and programs have already aired including NBC’s “Children of 9/11″ and TLC’s “Heroes of the 88th Floor.” Dozens more are forthcoming through Sunday night, the tenth anniversary of that horrific day.

Here are some of the more notable ones:

"9/11: The Days After" 9 p.m. Friday Sept. 9, History: This special examines the legacy of 9/11 using exclusively archival audiovisual material assembled without contextualizing narration or interviews. The result is an authentic, unflinchingly honest look at what happened after the tragedy – a chronicle of life in a changed world.

"The Love We Make" 9p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, Showtime: Paul McCartney helped put together a benefit concert after Sept. 11. Repeats Sept. 11 at 11p.m.

"Rebirth," 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, Showtime. A documentary about how people affected by 9/11 have handled life the past ten years, via periodic interviews over that period of time.

"9/11: Ten Years Later," 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 CBS: An update to the documentary originally broadcast on CBS in 2002 which featured the only known video footage of the first plane crashing into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. It includes updated interviews of people involved in the film.

"The Space Between" 9 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 11 USA: In a fictional take on the tragedy, Oscar winner Melissa Leo's powerful 2010 Tribeca Film Festival entrant examines how the attacks brought people together and renewed the American spirit.

"Twins of the Twin Towers" 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 OWN: Of the nearly 3,000 who perished on 9/11, 40 were twins. This is an unusual look at how some of those survivors are coping.

If you need a comprehensive round up of 9/11-related offerings, here is the best one I found.
