As a result of continued frigid temperatures, city of Atlanta office of constituent services and department of parks and recreation opens a warming center tonight at the Old Adamsville Recreation Center, 3404 Delmar Lane.

The center serves as an emergency shelter for those in need. Capacity limitations allow for 100 individuals (men, women and children) to occupy the facility starting at 5:30 p.m.

The shelter will stay open as needed.
