Just as he did in the first frame, Garcia caught a deep fly ball off Murphy’s bat in the fourth inning after battling the sun.

Arcia hit second in the fifth frame, striking out against Angels reliever Carlos Estevez. Acuña, who would’ve hit again in the inning, was replaced by his buddy Juan Soto, ending his evening.

Olson, prepared to enter for Freeman, was left on deck as the top of the fifth closed.
