State Republican Party Chairman David Shafer kicked things off at Herschel Walker’s election night party saying he “feels good” about the GOP’s chances.

The stakes, he said, are high.

“We’re up against people who do not believe America is a force for good in the world,” Shafer said.

Faith and Freedom Coalition Chairman Ralph Reed predicted that Tuesday’s results would be a rebuke to pundits and the media.

“They said that Georgia is a purple state and was trending blue,” Reed said. “Well, tonight we are painting Georgia red all over again.”

In recent weeks. Reed has acted as Walker’s sidekick on the campaign trail accompanying the Senate hopeful through rural parts of the state.
