Around the holiday season, Savannah is the epicenter of fun events and activities.

Now that the city is officially celebrating again since the 2020 lockdown, here are some things to do in the area that will help you get into the St. Patrick's Day spirit.

Tanger Outlets Sham-Rockin’ Celebration

On Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., Tanger Outlets will host its annual Sham-Rockin’ Celebration, which is presented by T-Mobile and Community Sponsors, Step One Automotive Group and Mountain High Outfitters.

During the event, guests will participate in various activities including a festive photo booth, music, and a cookie decorating station.

At 3:30 p.m. in front of the Bell Tower next to Ralph Lauren, Ginger and Lucky Leprechaun will kick off a mini parade around the outlet center.

The event will be free to the public. TangerClub members will also have the opportunity to receive complimentary festive merchandise.

On Wednesday March 16 at 4 p.m. this annual celebration will reconvene in Johnson Square, up through Bull St., and end in Madison Square.

At 4:30 p.m. in front of the William Jasper Monument, there will be a memorial ceremony for the Irish Revolutionary War Hero who was killed during the Siege of Savannah in 1779. This ceremony will also honor all war veterans, with or without Irish descent.

Shamrocks and Shenanigans Celebration

From March 16-20, various live entertainment, family-friendly events, and shopping opportunities will be available in the Plant Riverside District as part of the annual Shamrocks and Shenanigans Celebration.

In addition to photo-ops with Lucky the Leprechaun, the featured performers include Lyn Avenue and Ramona the Riot.

The fun will take place on River Street, at 400 West River Street.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

After three long years, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade is back! The long-awaited event kicks off on Thursday March 17 at 10:15 a.m. right off Gwinnett St. outside of Forsyth Park.

To join in on the fun, be sure to dress in green to avoid getting pinched.

Individual seating costs range from $35-$50 dollars along the parade route.

5th Annual Lucky St. Patrick's Day Crawl

On Saturday, March 19, participate in the Lucky St. Patrick's Day Crawl and Costume Contest from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Participants can buy delicious local foods and will receive two complimentary drinks or shots. Be sure to dress your best for a chance to win the costume contest and earn $1000!

The fun begins at The Warehouse Bar & Grille on 18 E River St.
