Wanda is asking for help from the Salvation Army this holiday season while she recovers from a major surgical procedure.

Wanda is also juggling raising four children and going to school, while recovering from surgery that has left her unable to work. Being unable to work has put a financial strain on the single mother, whose children range from age 1 to 13.

The Empty Stocking Fund is significant to Wanda. She appreciates the people who are a part of the program and those who donate to people like her who need a little extra help during the Christmas season. She’s also thankful for the individuals who keep in mind people like her who just couldn’t make ends meet this year, and those who are unable to fully provide for their loved ones in the way  in which they would like.
