The magnitude of tragedy from the Paris terror attacks has yet to be fully uncovered, but one French man has a story of good fortune to share.
In a video interview with The Guardian, a survivor says he was hanging up a phone call near Stade de France where a soccer game was going on when bomb shrapnel hit and destroyed his phone instead of hitting him head on.

He was hit in the abdomen and foot, according to report, but avoided serious injury because the phone (pictured above) took the brunt of the damage.
The stadium was one of six sites attacked by at least eight suspects Friday. There were 80,000 people at the stadium when the bomb went off, according to CNN, but only a couple people died there.
The majority of casualties were at a concert venue not far away from the stadium.
At least 127 people have died according to French president Francois Hollande.
Authorities are still investigating the attacks.
