Q: For over two years, the Atlanta Braves have been blacked out on the Dish Network for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday games. Will Dish customers be able to see Braves games in 2016?

A: There hasn't been a resolution between Fox Sports South and Dish Network, which threatens to extend the blackout of mostly weekend games for the fourth season.
The impasse dates to February 2013, when Fox Sports South bought the rights to 47 Braves games that originally were planned for Peachtree TV.
Dish Network has refused to pay the additional money asked by the Fox Sports South to cover the costs of those games. Its subscribers have missed about 50 games a season since 2013.
“Our situation with Dish Network remains as it was during the 2015 MLB season,” Fox Sports South said in a statement. “As you will recall from last season, Dish remains as the only video provider that is choosing not to distribute the full schedule of Braves games on Fox Sports South. We remain hopeful that we will be able to reach a resolution prior to the 2016 MLB season, as we have with all of our other video providers.”
Dish didn’t respond to an email request for comment, but said in a statement last August that the “surcharge does not allow us to uphold the Dish promise to deliver the best content at the best value.”
