Trump right about serious vetting
President Trump is right: every country defends their borders simply to make sure enemies who have threatened to destroy them are properly vetted.
He also asked Democrats to join him in protecting our citizens from those who migrate here for the sole purpose of going on welfare — something that puts an economic burden on all our citizens. We now need our news media to join in helping President Trump do what seems perfectly logical and sensible, to make this country great again.

Letter about Trump must be a joke
Frankly, I cannot tell whether the letter “Liberal journalists can’t stop stirring pot,” Readers Write, Feb. 27, is serious or a pathetic exercise in satire. She speaks of a man with a quick mind who has a functional vocabulary for a fourth-grader at best. She speaks of his business successes, but then as Hillary has said “He’s written a lot of books about business. They all seem to end at Chapter 11.” He has bankrupted six companies. That is not quite what you call running a business successfully. He has also been charged many times, with lawsuits presently in the system, for not paying his workers. If I had not paid my workers, I would be chopping tall cotton today. Of course, he has no backroom dictators, they all sit right next to him. As for illegal immigrants being lawbreakers, Georgia farmers will find out this year how much labor costs without them, as will all of the states that grow crops, as their crops ripen, perhaps rotting in the fields. The price of produce will either double, triple, or even go higher than that due to his actions. If I was Mexico, I would not allow any Mexicans to come into the United States to be slaves for a season, nor would I sell my crops to the United States for a pittance. I pity those who use lawn services and they will find out that their help, often being intimidated by those who enforce immigration laws, will cease to work.
