Liberal journalists continue their biased ways

Regarding “Journalism’s future will rely on trust” (Opinion, Dec. 23), about journalism being the solution to democracy’s problems, the truth is journalism is the cause of democracy’s problems in the form of liberal, fake and biased national news. All during the campaign, and even now, my tallies show the liberal Associated Press wrote nothing but negative stories about Republican Donald Trump, and nothing but all-positive stories about Democrat Hillary Clinton. The writer said, “In a world of fake news … we need more and better journalism.” But who prints or broadcasts fake national liberal news? Journalism, in the form of newspapers and network news. He writes, “Read closely (print and online outlets) with both impatience and skepticism. Let us know when you think we have it wrong.” Journalism, I think you have it wrong.

MARTA, Atlanta must be in top form for game

During Super Bowl week, all eyes will be on Atlanta’s ability to deliver an outstanding experience to its guests. If Atlanta shines, more big events will come to our city. If we fail, our new sports and business venues will not be booked as often as we’d like. MARTA will play a big role in this effort. Crowd control after the game is the most difficult task, and MARTA should make getting on the trains as seamless as possible. When the game ends, thousands of fans will head to a couple of nearby train stations, where they will stop to buy tickets and go through the turnstiles. MARTA train service should be free at these stations from 6 p.m. to midnight. There will be some missed revenue, but that is better than a missed opportunity to show off Atlanta with an efficient transportation system.
