Don’t expect Iran to keep its word

The fallacy of the deal is that we , the United States, expect the Iranians to rationalize and reason the way we do. No can do boo. The stated goal of Iran is to wipe Israel off the map. You don’t think they’d do the same to the U.S. given the chance ? If you don’t, then you are living on Fantasy Island. Iran will not honor any promise made to an infidel. It’s not binding.

Abortion trade’s inconvenient truths

So much for balanced reporting. I’m wondering how AJC editors manage to sleep at night knowing you have censored the Planned Parenthood story. Activist anti-abortionist videos? You had no problem with the activist who videoed Romney’s “47 percent” blunder. And what did Romney do but speak the truth? Now, no thanks to the AJC, we know what Planned Parenthood does with its share of the 55 million babies aborted in the United States. Since you will only report the talking points of the defenders of this barbaric practice, I can only assume you are comfortable assisting those who would dissect fetuses and offer their organs up for commerce.

If you won't stand up in opposition, can you at least print the truth, what Planned Parenthood officials actually said on tape? We have a taxpayer-supported organization that, according to the actual words of their officials, is crushing the skulls of fetuses and extracting the bodies in a way that allows individual organs to be preserved and sold. My God, how could you support this? Where is the shame? All I can say is you had better hope that God does not exist, because otherwise, all those who would carve up and sell human baby parts, along with those in the media who aid and abet this barbarity, will soon be burning in hell!

Fear of gunmakers devalues lives

With the recent shooting and killing of three people and the wounding of nine others in a movie theater in Lafayette, La., it is apparent that not just “Black Lives Matter” in America, but all lives matter in this country. The elephant in the room not being discussed by our public officials in Washington is adequate gun control laws for this country. It seems that the big gun manufacturing companies have many of our congressmen of both parties in their pockets. In short, it’s profits from the sale of guns versus human life. Like most other developed countries, there are people who have mental health problems or other antisocial problems, but these individuals should not have access to guns to harm other innocent people.

Police are not wanton predators

The article (“Shot at home,” News, July 26), is probably the finest example of slanted reporting you have published in some time. I am not (nor have I ever been) a policeman. I did, however, serve my country for 24 years in the U.S. Army. I cannot fathom any police officer in this country shooting a citizen intentionally and without reason. The crux of the matter (and what was not clearly explored in your article) is what actions were being taken by the individual(s) being shot. Our police forces are most certainly not roaming about, searching for some innocent soul to kill. Their actions are most certainly taken in response to actions being taken by the “victim.” It is a stretch of imagination to believe that members of various police forces throughout our country are intentionally gunning down (or otherwise injuring individuals) without some sort of valid rationale. Articles such as the subject one can only stir the pot of resistance to authority. If citizens would respond to police presence in a rational manner (rather than with a confrontational attitude), there would most certainly be a significant reduction in the types of actions you have documented.
