Atlanta Public Schools announced that it is reassigning several principals, prompting students at one high school to walk out in protest last week. I write about the new expectations of principals, who now must keep order, parents and teachers happy and academics high. In a guest column, a high school senior laments the lack of attention to other options for graduates besides college. And readers debate the rising practice of delaying kindergarten under the rationale that kids benefit by waiting.
