The old saying goes “There is more than one way to skin a cat,” but what about removing fur from a squirrel?

According to WCNC, the woman, whose boyfriend started an apartment fire in 2012 while using a blowtorch to remove the fur from a squirrel, now owes $2 million dollars to the apartment complex, a judge ruled on Wednesday.

The new ruling reversed a lower court ruling that had Barbara Pellow on the hook for the $15,400 in damages that were sustained during a fire that affected 32 units at ClearView Apartments in Holland Township, WCNC reports.

The $2 million figure is linked to the more than $2 million dollars of repairs that insurance carrier Travelers Indemnity Company paid out to the dozens of people that lost their belongings in the fire, according to WCNC.

Though Pellow was not directly involved with the fire, her boyfriend's action of cooking the squirrel on the deck violated her rental agreement and she was found liable for the damages.
