Vermont prefers the poop emoji while in Nevada the eggplant rules.
Swiftkey crunched the numbers to find each state's preference, and they raised more than a few eyebrows.
They write, "travel through the online map, and you'll find Floridians trumpeting, Montanans fishing, Coloradan's reading, and Washington, D.C.-ites building snowmen. Other state specialties: eggplant (Nevada), ghost (Oklahoma), mustached man (South Dakota), koala (Connecticut), and gas pump (Illinois)."
Less surprising is the use of the Statue of Liberty in New York and surfing in Hawaii.
The company discovered the happy face is used in nearly half of the cases internationally. The sad face finished way down the list at under 15%.
