Owners of a Virginia restaurant are looking for the woman who lost her diamond ring in the trash.
Recently a couple from out of town visited Wright's Dairy-Rite restaurant in Staunton, Virginia. As they were finishing their meal, the woman realized her wedding ring was gone, and she thought it was on the tray, that had been dumped in the garbage, WVIR reported.
The server dug through the garbage looking for the ring, but it didn't turn up, so the couple, who did not leave any contact information, left.
A few days later, the night crew found a ring, believed to be that of the unnamed woman, but since they didn't leave contact information, they can't get in touch with the travelers.
Sandy Cash, the owner of the restaurant hopes that by getting the story out, they may be able to reunite the woman with the jewelry. She's gone to Facebook and stations like WVIR to get the word out.
Cash said the woman told her it was the first diamond she got and that she was 50 when she received it.
