An anonymous person sent an apology and $500 cash to the city of Orem, Utah.
The letter was mailed from Phoenix, Arizona by someone guilt-ridden over vandalism they'd participated in at the Utah park 25 years ago, KTVX reported.
The author writes: "I regret the actions of my youth but need to make right the financial burden I created. The enclosed $500 for a crime few people -- if any -- would have rememebered, was intended to cover the repair costs or be counted as a donation towards sports leagues for underprivileged youth."
The note ended with the words: "Thanks for letting me make this right."
