Cosby accusers on NBC: Twenty-seven women who claim to have been sexually assaulted by comedian Bill Cosby will tell their stories on an episode of NBC's "Dateline" airing Friday. "The Cosby Accusers Speak," will air at 9 p.m. ET. Cosby has not been charged with a crime, but is facing a civil suit from one of his accusers.
More Clinton email released: The chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi released portions of an email that he says shows Hillary Clinton passed extremely sensitive intelligence information on the unsecured server she had installed in her New York home. Rep. Trey Gowdy, (R, S.C.), said the email between then Secretary of State Clinton and longtime friend and political adviser Sidney Blumenthal contained the name of one of the CIA's top Libyan intelligence sources. Gowdy says the committee will soon release some 1,500 pages of Clinton emails which concern Libya.
Why don't elephants get cancer: Results from a new study about cancer-fighting genes in elephants may lead to advances in fighting cancer in humans. The study shows that elephants have a powerful genetic army that works to keep cancer at bay. According to researchers, elephants have massive amounts of a key cancer-fighting agent -- the tumor-blocking gene TP53. Typically, humans have two copies of the gene.
Stone recovering after stabbing: U.S. Airman Spencer Stone, who in August helped thwart a terrorist attack on a French train, is expected to make a full recovery after he was stabbed outside of a nightclub in Sacramento. Stone was out with some friends when a fight broke out in the street near the bar. Stone was stabbed four times. He is not facing charges, law enforcement authorities say.
Carson on gun control: Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson is being asked about controversial remarks he made about guns in a newly-released book. In "A Perfect Union," Carson suggests that if Jews had had weapons in 1930s Europe there likely would not have been a Holocaust. Carson, being interviewed on CNN Thursday, answered a question about the book saying, "... to clarify, if there had been no gun control laws in Europe at that time, would 6 million Jews have been slaughtered?"
Nobel Peace Prize: The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded Friday to the Tunisia National Dialogue Quartet. The Nobel group cited the four organizations that make up the quartet for their "decisive contribution to the building of a pluralistic democracy in Tunisia in the wake of the Jasmine Revolution of 2011." The group --the Tunisian General Labour Union; the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts; the Tunisian Human Rights League; and the Tunisian Order of Lawyers -- grew out of the turmoil sparked by the Arab Spring revolt.

If you have a chance Friday evening and are in a cloud-free area, you may be able to get a glimpse of the Draconid meteor shower. The shower will be most visible right after the sun sets. The annual meteor show is the result of debris left behind by the Giacobini-Zinner comet.
