A man who is the suspect in three deadly shootings that took place in Maryland over a two-day span was arrested Friday afternoon.

Officials say Eulalio Tordi, 62, has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of his estranged wife. Additional charges are likely.

Here’s what we know about Tordil and the shooting incidents.

1.) Eulalio Tordil is accused of fatally shooting his estranged wife.

Police say Toridl shot and killed his estranged wife, Gladys Tordil, 44, Thursday afternoon at High Point High School in Beltsville. A bystander who attempted to intervene was also shot and sustained a non-life-threatening injury. Gladys Tordil was a science teacher at a nearby high school. According to The Associated Press, Gladys Tordil claimed in protective order documents that Eulalio Tordil was physically and mentally abusive to her and their children.

2.) Eulalio Tordil may  be connected to two Friday shootings

The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating the connection, if any, to two deadly shootings that took place Friday at a mall and at a grocery store. Three people were shot at the mall, one fatally. The female victim at the grocery store is also deceased.

3.) Eulalio Tordil is a federal employee

According to the Prince George County Police Department, Eulalio Tordil is an employee of the Federal Protective Service, which is a Department of Homeland Security agency. According to DHS, the Federal Protective Service provides security and law enforcement for federal facilities.

4.) Eulalio Tordil had recently been placed on administrative leave

According to CNN, Eulalio Tordil had been placed on administrative leave in March. After a protective order was issued against him, the FPS said it took away Eulalio Tordil's weapon, badge and credentials. It is not known at this time how Eulalio Tordil acquired the weapon or weapons used in the crimes he is suspected of committing.

5.) Location of Friday’s shooting tied to infamous crime spree

The Aspen Hill area was the scene of at least one deadly shooting that was tied to the Beltway Snipers. In 2002, a taxi driver was killed while pumping gas in the area. The grocery store where Friday's fatal shooting took place was located in Aspen Hill.
